The United Nations Environment – UNEP/UNDP Global Support Programme (GSP), in collaboration with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) - Consultative Group of Experts (CGE), will conduct a Mitigation Training Workshop in Pretoria, South Africa, from 21-24 August 2017.
The collaborative workshop will be part of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) funded GSP capacity building activities, and CGE 2017 work plan to provide technical support and advice on, among other things, the preparation of national communications and biennial update reports (BURs). It is envisaged to enhance the technical capacity of the national teams on the preparation and reporting of information on mitigation actions and their effects in the context of the Climate Change Convention.
The workshop will be a regional event, drawing participants from all African countries.
