Second Meeting of the Latin American Network on GHG Inventory

Description:

The Second Meeting of the Latin American Network is organized by the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development of the Republic of Argentina in collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment of the Republic of Chile, the Argentina´s UN-REDD National Program and the UNDP/UNEP Global Support Programme. The workshop will convene 12 Latin American countries with their national Greenhouse Gases (GHG) experts, two per country.  It will be the second opportunity to congregate these representative and continue developing a joint work.

The workshop will seek to accomplish the following objectives:

• Monitor the activities of the Network in the period of 2016-2017;
• Exchange experiences on the guarantee and quality control of Greenhouse gases National Inventory (GHGNI);
• Exchange experiences on the GHGNI information management;
• Consensus and define the relevance of standardizing the GHGNI report; and
• Establish future activities and products of the Network
