Closing Workshop of the South East Asian Network for Enhancing Climate Transparency

All the planned activities under the “South East Asian Network for Enhancing Climate Transparency” have now been completed and the project has reached its final stage. Global Support Programme (GSP) would like to hear from the network members about the project progress, outcome and outputs attained, lessons learnt and the achievements made within the participating member countries during project implementation.

Network work plans and country engagement plans have been developed covering all network member countries in the South East Asian region based on the input received during the stakeholder consultation, collected from the questionnaire and the desk review. Considerable number of network meetings, webinars and ad-hoc supports have been carried out for enhancing the climate transparency activities by GSP in collaboration of other partners. (UNFCCC, UNDP, GEF, PATPA, FAO, GIR, UNEP, UNEP DTU, IGES, etc).

The workshop presents the last activity of the current phase of the GSP and aims at wrapping up the work done so far, hear feedback from participants and plan for the next phase. More specifically the objectives of the meeting are to:

• Present the summary of past activities conducted with South Asian Network
• Present the outcome of the capacity assessment analysis of the network
• Share the achievements made within the participating countries through various workshops, webinars, Ad-hoc supports during the project implementation
• Share the lessons learnt by network members
• Complete the evaluation sheets developed by GSP
• Provide the future actions planned under the GSP Phase II
